Squats are a compound movement - that simply means when you squat, you're using multi-joints and multi-muscles to perform the move. In addition to your glutes, hamstrings and quadriceps, squats work your hips, calves, back, and core. Plus, if you squat regularly, you'll also improve your mobility, flexibility and overall posture.
